Full day's game drive at Saadani
On the Selous, Spice and the Coast holiday you spend some time in the excellent and little-visited Saadani Game Reserve north of Dar es Salaam. This is both a beach and bush location. In order to keep things flexible for you on this trip, we've not included safaris as you may simply want to chill out on the beach!However you can take a full day's safari game drive to spot the increasingly good wildlife in this park. You have the chance of seeing four of the 'Big Five' (no rhino) and there are healthy populations of giraffe, reedbuck, waterbuck, eland, zebra, buffalo, warthog and smaller antelopes. The lion population is increasing and sightings are now commonplace, though still not guaranteed. The birdlife here is excellent too. (Also see the half day option).
