Storm's River Adventures at Tsitsikamma is based near a small pocket of wonderful indigenous forest. One very exciting activity to go for is their treetop canopy tour. They have rigged ziplines through the forest (being very careful not to damage the trees) and you zip along through the high canopy! It's really excellent fun. They strap you in safely and give you a hat and a good safety talk, and guides are with you all the way around, so you feel very well looked after. It's like being a big kid again. I'd do it again tomorrow (Amanda)!
This is an excellent sustainable tourism project which has won awards for work with the local community.
On the Garden Route holiday you could fit this in on the afternoon of day 7 or morning of day 8 on your way to Port Elizabeth.
