Description

Above Franschhoek village in the Winelands is this lovely nature reserve of Mont Rochelle. The top of Franschhoek Pass is at an altitude of 700m, so not too high to be too arduous, yet high enough for some spectacular views. Various wild mammals such as baboons, klipspringer, eland and red hartebeest can be spotted up here and your guide will also tell you about the flora of the park too.
This hike can be taken on day 7 of Cape Town and Winelands (in the morning) before we pick you up to take you back to the airport for your onwards arrangements.
Please note that the price is for the guide (based on minimum 2 people), and does not include the return taxi fare from your hotel to the reserve (payable locally). The guide will come and meet you at your hotel after breakfast, and the walk will be roughly 3 hours.
