Detailed Itinerary
This option is designed to make good use of spare time you may have in Lima. This would normally be between a domestic and international flight connection. The amount of time spent on the tour will be dependent on your flight times but this will be no longer than a half day. The exact itinerary will depend on how much time you have, so may not include all the sites mentioned below.
You will see the main sites of down town Lima, including the main plaza, the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, City Hall, the cathedral and the Desamparados train station. You will also spend time walking through some of the old streets with their elegant colonial town houses and balconies. The tour also visits the traditional neighbourhood of San Isidro, whose cultural heritage dates back to pre-Inca times, with a burying temple, these days sometimes used as concert and exhibitiion venue. Stroll through Olive Grove park, home to 15 species of birds as well as centuries old olive trees and take in the LarcoMar entertainment and shopping complex, with its boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, a landmark of modern Lima. The complex consists of three terraces carved into the Miraflores cliffs. From here you get great views of the Pacific Ocean.
