This tiger tour in India offers you the best chance of spotting tigers in the wild as it takes you on safari in both Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks, both well known for their tiger populations.
The scenery at both parks is truly beautiful and they are sufficiently different to each other to merit being visited on the same trip. As well as tigers, there is a good chance of seeing a wide variety of Indian wildlife, including leopard, hyena, wolf, jackal, deer and monkeys. Accommodation in the parks is in small lodges offering simple accommodation and attentive service.
Your tiger tour starts in the capital, Delhi, with time to see the sights of this great city or just relax. You travel to Bandhavgarh by overnight train and car, arriving in time for afternoon game viewing. There are two more full days for you to spend exploring this lovely park with its varied habitats. Expert guides will ensure excellent game viewing.
After a morning game drive, you'll continue to Kanha where, again, you have 2 full days of game viewing activities, including game drives, elephant-back safaris and guided nature walks. Kanha boasts a high density of wildlife and has some truly stunning scenery, making a magnificent backdrop to your game drives. Visits to local villages can also be arranged.
After a final morning game drive, you will be taken to the city of Nagpur which has good flight connections to Mumbai to connect with international flights or perhaps continue to the beach.

This is an easy trip not requiring any special level of fitness. Accommodation is simple but comfortable, with the emphasis very much on the game viewing. The trip includes an overnight train journey in the best class of sleeper accommodation available.
Bandhavgarh and Kanha close in the monsoon from July to mid-October. The vegetation can be very dense after the monsoon, so spotting wildlife can be difficult until after the winter when the vegetation dies down. The winter months from December to February can be chilly, especially early in the morning, while the temperatures start to soar from April onwards.
You need to fly and into Delhi and out of Nagpur. We can arrange these flights from the UK, or can arrange flights from Nagpur to Mumbai at the end of your trip if required. You would normally fly from the UK on the night flight the day before the start of ths itinerary and on the way back your flight Nagpur via Mumbai would get you back to the UK the day after this itinerary.

How your holiday helps:
Employment of local people as drivers and guides and lodge staff at the National Park areas.
Tiger tourism can be an emotive subject. We are of the opinion that without tourism tigers would stand little to no chance of surviving in the wild for very long. At its best, tourism helps protect their habitat, encourages local people to protect them (or at least not persecure them), and helps pay for their conservation. The lodges we use on this trip share our ethics and in particular Nature Heritage at Bandhavgargh is heavilly involved with both conservation and community support.
Carbon Offsetting:
For every client we take on holiday we plant 10 tree saplings. This is used as a poverty alleviation and biodiversity scheme as well as helping with carbon offsetting. Click for more details…
Giving to grassroots projects:
Our registered charity, The Tribes Foundation, is currently raising funds for a projects in a number of countries. The kindness of strangers can make a big difference, so if you’re a travel philanthropist considering donating to a worthwhile charity, please consider backing one of our excellent community or conservation projects.
You can find further information about our current projects here http://www.the-tribes-foundation.org/.

Many of our holidays have been designed in relatively short sections which can be added together as a combination. Only those that work together are shown below. If there are none shown then this is not an option for the particular holiday you have chosen.
When you click on any of these holiday combination options you will be taken to the relevant holiday details. You can return to this holiday by selecting it from the menu in the left hand column. If you add more than one holiday to your basket there may potentially be a gap between the two sections. You can fill this gap by adding the handy overnight extensions we offer in the relevant city.
